The Shilling is worth five hundredths of a Pound. These are the well known denomination of the pound in pre-decimalization, that they are the "cent" of the pound, adding that there are 12 pence in a shilling. Coins from 1947 onward are copper-nickel composition.

Design[]

Henry VII's shillings are illegible, however, they read some Latin with the royal "illustrations". On the rear, the coat of arms is detailed- too detailed, in fact. A crown sits atop the symbol.
