The km23 Design is the modern ½ Franc pattern and exists as 23a.1, 23a.2, and 23a.3. Years between 1968-1981 are 23a.1, 1982 are 23a.2, and 1983+ are 23a.3.
Design[]
The obverse depicts Helvetica, the illustration of Switzerland while holding a shield at her left and a spear at her right. According to the year issue, the coin may have 22 or 23 stars. The reverse has the value and the date circled around a reef. The mintmark B may appear on some coins below as a mintmark.
